Flex4Res joins the ai4manufacturing community to strengthen collaboration on intelligent and resilient production

The European research and innovation project Flex4Res has joined the ai4manufacturing community, a collaborative European initiative dedicated to driving the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across the manufacturing sector.

ai4manufacturing brings together EU-funded projects, industrial stakeholders and technology experts to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration around AI-enabled manufacturing. The community aims to accelerate the uptake of digital technologies that enhance flexibility, efficiency and sustainability in production environments.

With its focus on resilient manufacturing systems and data-driven decision-making, Flex4Res is a natural fit for this ecosystem. The project is developing an open platform for secure and sovereign data exchange along the manufacturing value chain, enabling adaptive reconfiguration of production networks through the integration of Gaia-X, International Data Spaces (IDS) and Asset Administration Shell (AAS) technologies.

“Joining the ai4manufacturing community opens up valuable opportunities to collaborate with others working towards the same vision of a resilient and human-centred manufacturing future,” said Dr Kosmas Alexopoulos, project coordinator of Flex4Res. “Together, we can advance the role of AI in strengthening the resilience of Europe’s manufacturing ecosystem.”

By joining ai4manufacturing, Flex4Res reinforces its commitment to advancing data-driven resilience and intelligent automation in line with Europe’s digital sovereignty objectives. Together with other projects in the community, Flex4Res helps shaping a more robust, adaptable and sustainable manufacturing future.
