Project meeting in Darmstadt, Germany

The Institute for Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools (PTW) of TU Darmstadt hosted the third Flex4Res Project General Assembly, which took place in Darmstadt, Germany, on 29 and 30 November 2023. More than 30 participants from the 17 partner organisations attended the project meeting in person. In addition to discussions on the latest developments, visits of the TEC Lab, Process Learning Factory, FlowFactory and ETA Factory were on the agenda.

Second milestone ahead

“We are now in the most important phase of the project,” Kosmas Alexopoulos stated as he opened the project meeting. Almost one year after the kick-off, the Flex4Res project partners met in Darmstadt to bring everybody up to speed on the project. Representatives from all partners gathered to evaluate progress and lay out a roadmap for the upcoming six months. The meeting’s agenda was packed, with the initial one and a half days dedicated to presentations by task leaders, fostering an environment for knowledge exchange and networking.

The second day offered the project partners an exclusive tour of the PTW facilities. The visit presented a unique opportunity to see the test field manufacturing technology (TEC Lab), the center for industrial productivity (process learning factory CiP), the new research building for the production of the future (FlowFactory) and the energy efficiency, technology and application center (ETA Factory).

We look back to two productive and inspiring days at the PTW!
